The Adam Smith Theatre opened in 1899 as a memorial to the economist Adam Smith, author of The Wealth of Nations, who was born in Kirkcaldy.
It includes a 475-seat theatre which regularly stages plays, children’s shows, opera, film, musicals, ballet, contemporary dance, comedy, lectures and music. The cinema also regularly shows films.
