Sci-fi devotees have the chance meet stars from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Star Wars, Doctor Who, and Star Trek at a massive fan event at Glasgow’s Braehead Arena this weekend.

Taking place over Saturday and Sunday, Collectormania Glasgow boasts Buffy’s Nicholas Brendon, David ‘Darth Vader’ Prowse, Fifth Doctor Peter Davidson, and Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Marina Sirtis among the roll call of famous faces.

Other celebrity guests include Ernie ‘Winston Zedemore’ Hudson from Ghostbusters, ’70s Dr Who sidekick Louise Jameson, and Doug Bradley from the Hellraiser movies.

Along with talks featuring the stars, there will also be the chance to get autographs and professional photographs, as well as browse hundreds of stalls of movie collectables and memorabilia. The best fan costumes featuring characters from films, anime, books, and video games are also on show in Saturday’s masquerade competition, and an aftershow party on Saturday night offers a chance to hang out with like minded fans, as well as celebrity guests.

Collectormania Glasgow is at the Braehead Arena from 9am on Saturday 23 August and 10am on Sunday 24 August. Entry is £3-£10, with admission to some guest talks priced £10-£20. Tickets for Saturday’s aftershow party are £10.
