It can be hard entertaining the little ones during the summer holidays, but Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway have a great event lined up that’s sure to hold their attention.

Day out with Thomas - a fun event, perfect for fans of the Railway Series books and the much-loved children’s TV programme, Thomas the Tank Engine and friends - is sure to go down a storm.

Running in August and September, kids will get to meet their all-time favourite train and his friends including Percy, as well as some of the Troublesome Trucks.

Of course, Sir Topham Hatt - the Fat Controller - will also be on hand to keep everything under control!

There will be return-trip train rides running every hour throughout the day to Birkhill to kick off the fun.

Kids can also enjoy playing on the bouncy castles and roundabouts, and watch as entertainers perform magic and puppet shows at both ends of the line.

There will also be chances to have a ride on a miniature railway and model railways, entry to the Scottish Railway Exhibition at Bo'ness, and face-painting at Birkhill.

Jam-packed with fun for all the family, it’s the perfect summer’s day out.

This event always proves to be a big hit with the little ones so make sure to make a stop off at Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway this summer!
