Nevis Range

Nevis Range is the ideal place for those who like their thrills extreme and their fun fast and furious.

It’s a year-round mountain experience, with skiing and snowboarding in the winter, and dry slopes and mountain biking in the summer.

Britain 's only mountain gondola transports you effortlessly in just 12 minutes from the car park to 2150ft up Aonach Mor to breathtaking views of Ben Nevis and the surrounding area. The gondolas can shift 1700 people an hour, so queues should usually be small.

Once up there, there’s the Snowgoose Mountain Restaurant and Bar, gift shops, the Mountain Discovery Centre, a children's playpark, and there are walks along a series of footpaths dotted with panoramic viewpoints – as well as the more obvious downhill activities.

There are 35 ski runs in total, including seven green runs, five black runs for the super-experienced, and extensive opportunities for off-piste skiing.

The centre also has regular evening entertainment, which can include film shows, cabaret and live bands.

Nevis Range is open from 9am-4pm Mondays to Fridays, and from 8.30pm-4pm at weekends and on holidays. The gondola occasionally closes because of high winds and is closed for annual maintenance between mid November and mid December – the centre recommends calling before visiting. Prices range from £5 to £8.25 for single tickets, but family and week-long tickets are available which offer better value. There are separate charges for skiing and other activities.
