Secluded Beach

Red Haven beach is the perfect place to enjoy the rare sunny days in south west Scotland. Not many people know about it so you will often have the whole beach to yourself.

The walk is a bit of a pain if you have loads of stuff, but well worth it!

Great Glasgow city centre pitstop for kids

Children under 7 or 8 just love the basement floor of Princes Square on Buchanan Street. It's architectural genius - a nice big open space which is very bright and safe where they can run around and make new pals while you rest your weary feet.

Best show in town

What's the best free daily entertainment in town? The Courts. Watching a good trial lawyer like Donald Findlay in full flow is better than theatre. The High Court is where all the real drama is, but Sheriff Courts are fascinating too, and they're all over Scotland. You can come and go as you please - you're legally entitled to be there and to watch.
