Visit an independent cinema
Multiplexes are all very well, but they can be soulless places.
Why not try something smaller?
Scotland is well-served with independent and art house cinemas. And it's not all four-hour Iranian tragedies - most of them, even the art houses, aren't averse to the odd blockbuster.
OK, you might not get the gallon bucket of popcorn, but the likes of the GFT and the Filmhouse show foreign and independent films you won't see anywhere else, while others specialise in providing a much more intimate, comfortable, viewing experience.
Some even let you take a beer or a glass of wine in - you won't get that at screen 13 of your industrial estate enormoplex!
