Do lunch and shop in Pollokshields
Pollokshields has a great cafe culture, with almost too-many places to choose between....Ikafe (mmm, soup!), Mise-en-Place and Moyra Janes are situated near some great niche shops too. Floral Haven is not to be missed. Really unusual and exotic flowers and plants, and a very stylish shop. Marie Brown At Home has gorgeous gifts...room fragrances, soft toys, ceramics, jewellery, great cards.
Walk on down to Strathbungo/Pollokshaws Road and you can choose from Cafe Grianach, Gusto and Relish, Mulberry Street and my favourite....Tapa (amazing home baking) and then take a walk in Queens Park. Shawlands is just a quick step away for some great bars and more restaurants. Who needs the city centre anyway?
