The Kiltwalk 2014
The Kiltwalk’s Glasgow to Loch Lomond event is back and it’s set to be bigger and better than ever before! Yorkhill Children’s Charity is delighted to announce that the Kiltwalk will be supporting us again in 2014 as we have been chosen as one of the six official Kiltwalk charities to receive a share of the proceeds from the SECC to Loch Lomond event. Led by some of Scotland’s fabulous celebrities, participants will be piped from two of Glasgow’s most iconic landmarks, the Armadillo and the new Hydro at the SECC. Participants will make their way along the 23 mile route from the Clyde, onwards along the walkways to Loch Lomond Shores. Similar to last year there will be pitstops along the way provided by each charity that is involved in the Kiltwalk where there will be refreshements and entertainment with live music and pipers throughout. In the evening you can enjoy some well-deserved entertainment from Clyde 2 and the Greatest Hits Network with your fellow walkers. The exciting event takes place on Sunday 27th April 2014 and there are various walks you can take part in including a 13 mile route and a 6 mile ‘Wee Walk’. You can rally your friends and family to take part as a team (5 or more) in support of Yorkhill Children’s Charity. This means that 50% of the money you raise in sponsorship is raised for Yorkhill Children’s Charity and we will also receive a grant from The Kiltwalk. Even better, teams of 20 or more that participate in support of Yorkhill Children’s Charity will be raising 75% of all sponsorship for us.
