Scottish Radiohead fans are being spoiled this summer, what with Saturday's gig on Glasgow Green and now the chance to see Scottish Ballet performing excerpts of an acclaimed work set to the English band's songs Fitter Happier and Creep.
Stephen Petronio's Ride the Beast is just one of four ballets featured in the company's Summer Tour, which is visiting intimate venues all over Scotland. The programme also includes a brand new work choreographed by soloist Diana Loosmore set to music by Basquiat Strings, who were nominated for the Mercury Music Prize last year.
Completing a diverse repertoire are Othello, a dance drama created by the company's founding director Peter Darrell, and a duet set to Bach's Goldberg Variations by Krzysztof Pastor, who choreographed the company's recent production of Romeo & Juliet.
A more diverse programme would be hard to find, and it seems likely that the tour will attract new fans as well as satisfying loyal audiences
Scottish Ballet's Summer Tour visits venues across Scotland, finishing at DG One in Dumfries on July 12. Click here to watch a video of dancers rehearsing Diana Loosmore's new work.
