The hotly anticipated stage musical of The Wedding Singer, direct from Broadway, starts its tour of Scotland this month.

Wannabe rock star and life-and-soul of the party Robbie Hart is everyone’s favourite wedding singer – until he gets jilted at the altar.

Suddenly Robbie loses his happy-go-lucky attitude, and instead he’s set on making every other wedding go as badly as his did.

That’s until he meets the woman of his dreams, a sweet waitress named Julia. The only problem is, she’s just about to get married herself and the only way Robbie thinks he can win her affections is to pull off the performance of a lifetime and blow her away.

Based on the hit 1998 blockbuster starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, the Wedding Singer is the perfect feel-good story all about the ups and downs of being in love.

This production of the 80s-themed show stars Jonathan Wilkes, whose theatre credits include lead roles in The Rocky Horror Show and Grease, and Natalie Casey, who has just appeared in the West End showing of Fame and is perhaps best known for Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.

The Wedding Singer is touring to Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Glasgow.
