Cold feet, warm hearts

If you spent your Saturday nights marvelling at the celebrity skaters performing on Dancing on Ice, then get yourself along to Eden Court in Inverness where the Wild Rose group are performing Beauty and the Beast on ice.

Over twenty performers from the world-renowned Russian Ice Stars will grace the ice, with Andrey Chuvilyaev and Olga Pershankova starring as the Beast and Belle respectively.

Wild Rose certainly know how to put on a spectacular show – they have been producing them for fifteen years. An array of pyrotechnics, juggling and breathtaking flying scenes will bring the story of love conquering all spectacularly to life on the ice.

This is so much more than a skating show. choreographer Giuseppe Arena is a ballet dancer and his influence is clear to see. On the whole, the storyline remains true to the original tale, and there is even the sight of the pages of a giant picture book being turned as one scene moves into the next.

Beauty and the Beast on Ice is at Eden Court, Inverness, from April 8 to 12.
