Abba look at this

Take a chance on Mamma Mia!, the smash hit musical which is coming to Glasgow for the first time next month.

Since it opened in London in March 1999, Mamma Mia! has played to more than 30 million people around the world and claims to have more productions playing internationally than any other musical.

Writer Catherine Johnson’s sunny, funny tale has wowed audiences around the world – and the music’s not bad either.

Classic songs like Dancing Queen, I Have a Dream, Voulez-Vous and Take a Chance on Me are ingeniously woven into the tale of love, laughter and friendship.

On the eve of her wedding, a daughter’s quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother’s past to the Greek island paradise they last visited 20 years ago. Romance, laughter and tears ensue.

A film version of the musical is due out later this year starring Meryl Streep as single mother Donna with Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgård as the three potential fathers.

Husband and wife team Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have produced the film, which is scheduled for release in July.

Mamma Mia! is at the SECC from April 1 to 27. No performances on Mondays, tickets range from £15 to £39, check the SECC box office for availability.
