Alien Autopsy (12A)

Small-screen stars Ant and Dec make their movie debut, in the fact-based tale of a couple of English chancers who created fake footage of the supposed 1947 alien autopsy at Roswell, New Mexico – and inexplicably convinced at least part of the world that it was real.

Though a good-humoured and occasionally witty vehicle for the pair's effortless matey charisma, the film is awkwardly framed as a fake documentary, and squanders, through unadventurous scripting, its chance to effectively satirise the suggestibility of UFO nerds and the paranoia of the US government.
