Alison Rowat's Review
Robert Pattinson, the swoon-worthy star of teen vampire romance Twilight, goes from the fine to the ridiculous in this tale of three greats in their salad days.
Salvador Dali, played by Pattinson, meets Federico Garcia Lorca (Javier Beltran) and Luis Bunuel (Matthew McNulty) at the Residencia de estudiantes in Madrid.
The year is 1922, Spain is a country steeped in conservatism, and three young men are taking the first steps in the careers that will make them famous.
Paul Morrisons film is terribly earnest and arty in a Brideshead Revisited meets Grange Hill way, but the stagey dialogue and mannered performances also make it too silly for words sometimes.
