The first Diary of a Wimpy Kid was a sweet-natured coming-of- age comedy, and this follow up doesn’t mess with a winning formula.
Adapted from Jeff Kinney’s bestselling children’s books, Rodrick Rules kicks the story of Greg (Zachary Gordon) forward a couple of years.
Besides having to deal with all the usual trials of growing up, Greg finds terrors such as meeting girls and dealing with older and younger brothers are taking their toll.
Helping Greg navigate his way through the danger zones is a near picture stealing Robert Capron, playing his pal Rowley. You’ll laugh, you’ll wince, you’ll like.
